Harmonica tabs?

Post by dacey2537 » Sun Mar 05, 2006 8:44 am

I just started playing a harmonica and i've been looking for some good songs to play besides old folk or classical songs. Anyway do you guys have any idea where I can find some harmonica tabs that go along with some of the sublime songs? I definitely want to learn that solo in Ball and Chain (is that a trumpet or sax, or am i completely off?)

Well, you're much less likely to find harmonica tabs per say...Not for free, at least...If you're willing to pay a few bucks, you could get either online lessons or a book which I'm sure would show you how to play certain songs. Harmonica tabs are just the hole numbers, followed by an arrow to indicate an inward or an outward breath.

What you should do is just get a few harmonicas in a number of keys. Then, when you're listening to a song, and you know what key it's in, grab the corresponding harmonica, and go nuts...Technically, every note you play should be diatonic...You'll pick up quickly what sounds good and what doesn't.

Enjoy
