So as most of us lready knwo sublime recycle songs. And I also know that puff daddy used to sample of recycle songs from the 80's its kinda the same kinda thing what he used to do with biggie(juicy , big poppa , mo money o problem) also tupac did the same thing with MJ letter to my unborn child thugnature (librerian girl , human naturE etc) probably lil wayne and some other rappers also ssample old hits its a way to get more audience,so in this way older generation will be listening to your music. but my question is any bands from nowadays doing the same thing as in recycling music(and is that showable or need obvious when you hear it).if there is, which one or did any other band did this before sublime?

I also know that bizzy bone recycle or sample some songs like when thugs cry - prince when doves cry murder me -prince purple rain
jesus -madonna this used to be my playground
A song for you - ray charles a song for you
I know akon also did somewhere in his career so I know rappers had done it once or twice but that is mostly work from dj with turntables and stuff like that but what about bands doing it with instruments that looks more like a harder challenge
