brad's things

Post by look at all the love » Thu Apr 29, 2010 2:54 am

Hey, I'm doing an art project at the moment about brad. I'm basically trying to recreate the s.t.p.
i was wondering if anybody could share any handy information on things brad always had with him, lesser known hobbies or generally any cool ideas i can include. Also I'm from the UK and need hints on american culture in the early 90's, food, types of beer, cigarettes etc.

From what I've read he always had his guitar, his dog, and his love of music with him. Americans like to smoke Newports or Marlboro brand cigs. We like Bud light, Hennessy, Vodka, Corona, Heinikan. I think it's great that you are doing a project on Brad I would hope you will share when it's done. Oh yeah and we love to smoke BLUNTS!!!!

I don't like any of those things....well, I am a little partial to vodka.

the song s.t.p refers to his 'secret tweaker pad' which i imagine was a conflicting place for the guy. i basically just wanted to do something i would enjoy and all this research into brad has given me a higher level of understanding and love for him.

cheers for all the shiz badfish sawred, i'm gonna try find a 40oz of something, just for the novelty i reckon. i'll post pics on here in about 5 weeks if it's done/good enough.

sound.

Yeah that's kind of a bold statement to speak for American's. But I'm a vodka fan myself.

Here's an idea, Look At All The Love, Look at some old pictures and see if you can pull any labels or anything from them to create that image for yourself. Even that, it's such a broad group just have smokes and beer in general. They were big into surfing and tattoos. Watch some old videos online of interviews, you might be able to find something from that. Hong Kong Phooey was a favorite Saturday morning cartoon of Brad's. Just some ideas.

The name of the book is Crazy Fool - Portrait of a punk

Back in the day you could of bought it on ebay from Brad's dad and he would personalize it with an autograph to you.

I paid about $250 for mine, because it's a collectors item (well back then, I hope it still is now)

Recreating his s.t.p. you HAVE to have a 4 track recorder with you and the cheapest american beer you can find
I can honestly say I listened to Sublime 3 months straight... like literally home, in car, ipod, nothing but Sublime
