grade nine was my favorite year of high school. we had a constant flow of weed, and since we werent yet alcoholics, we had enough liquor. we also had a house, a nice house, we cud go to ALL THE TIME. this girls mom was sooo chillin, she didnt give a fuck what we did as long as we cleaned up and didnt die. anyways, one night my buddy was controllin the music, threw on 'santeria' and i was blown away, like 'who the fuck is that.' back then i was hardcore into hip hop, no classic rock, no alternative, nothing, but after that night i listened to sublime. the only non-rap cd's in my collection were sumblime cd's through 9th grade. its a couple years later, and i still listen to at least one sublime song everyday (probably, maybe miss a few here and there, but you get the idea.)

I was asking my friend for some easy tunes to learn on the acoustic. She taught me "What I got". It was love from then on.

I remember when I was about 14 riding around listening to Sublime on a nice system that hit very cleanly, clean bass tones, clean treble....I never got into them until a few years ago when I was listening to "BadFish" on the "MOM" compilation. Then my sister gave me all of her Sublime c.d.'s and I started listening to them.

Sublime's music helps me relax. Its so different than any other music, especially other music that I listen to.

Its a nice change. Its good to listen to different things.

To me, music is thoughts and feelings expressed through sounds. You get a certain vibe or feeling from music and sounds.

I only listen to Sublime when I truly feel that way. Lately when I listen to Sublime I'll usually listen to songs from "Second Hand Smoke".

For me, it was Dave Mirra's Pro BMX for PS1. What I Got was on that game and I dug it. It's really been the only style/band I have ever liked.
