God knows I LOVE argentinans... say "mayonesa y mostaza" and record it for me.

Down to business.

Specify "special" like a tribute??

hahaha mayonesa and mostaza? ok... i will record it if you want... it's kind of weir but i feel i should do something about it really hard to explain. It's really difficult to get sublime's record in argentina but sublime - sublime. I'm happy because someone will bring me 40oz from US... at least i got the other records on my Ipod

I am finally going to make it to Brad’s memorial. My brother is working an internship in San Diego, and I flew out here for a month’s vacation. We plan on making the trip Saturday sometime. I am really excited; I did not think this was going to happen so soon.

Long Beach locals, any suggestions on things to do after we pay tribute?

Finding the right spot was easy thanks to this site. It was an emotional experience for me. I had not realized how close we were to the park, when my brother started breaking in the middle of traffic to turn in. I said “what are you doing?” he said “where here.” Right then, I started to feel differently. It was great being able to say thank you.

I have a video of the park and stuff, just don't have a youtube account yet....

Thanks sublimespot!!!!

wow. That spot looks trashed! I understand that people leave cigs and stuff and gifts for him, but after awhile they make it look really trashy and disrespected. The grass is nearly gone surrounding the place and ....although people may visit there all the time, it's looks like they do more damage than intended over the years.

Why cant someone go by a bag of grass seed and leave an ashtray, or a cool box to leave out nearby for gifts, instead of leaving nicotine stains on his tombstone?

It's probably hard to get grass to grow there people are always walking on it. In the first picture, It looks like someone drove across one of the memorials. :o

Thanks guys! How did you see the boat picture?? I was sad to see "trash" on his stone, but did not feel comfortable rearranging peoples "gifts."

I know those are gifts, but I would like to go out there and water that spot and grow some more grass. it should be lush, not dirty.

a few years ago someone had the "awesome" idea to put sand around it, and it killed the grass, I clean it everytime i go, all the time tho, i feel like getting rid of the sand and putting grass.. seriously

but then.. who the fuck am I , you know?

well.i guess if i see it in the perspective of whoever brought the sand to begin with

I guess it would be cooler if you guys knew where I was from. I live just south of Jackson Michigan, not the farthest a Sublime Fan has travelled for sure, but quite a hike! Out here seeing my brother…

Sublime hit a nerve somewhere deep inside of me when I was younger and it’s never changed. I bought a rare promo poster with the guys on it a while back, (with the two phone numbers on the bottom of it) and I even got a brand new copy of Crazy Fool a few years ago (I called the number on the back and talked to Brads step mom…I posted the convo somewhere in here..)

My mom snagged a large poster of Everything Under the Sun for me last time she was out here. It looks like the store never put it up for it’s in store advertising.

Sharing about my personal Sublime swag has gotten me thinking….does this site have a spot where members can post their cool, rare sublime stuff? A show and tell of all our sublime collections? I’ve seen some neat stuff on ebay that I can’t afford yet, where has it ended up?

Of course being a sublime fan is about the music, that will never change, but it’s always neat seeing other pieces of this bands history and story.

we dont have an actually thread to post, um you could post them in the pic thread or make a new thread and encourage the rest to post their little sublime collection.

Ive seen pics here and there from members through the years. but ive been here since the invention of sliced bread.

Well, its really cool that you joined us, you will find us sometimes annoying, non sense, mean, but we all love Sublime, and that might be the only thing we agree upon.

I have met really cool people here, and made friends which i'm sure will be lifelong.

Welcome to the spot.
