Went to Stein Fillers to get a recipe that would go well with the cultured yeast. Chose a pound light grain and some darker crystal malt, just for a more roasted flavor and darker color. The boil was smooth, no worries of a boil-over... for a change. We're getting good at battling boil-overs.
Fermentation begins just hours after pitching yeast.

The beer turned out fantastic. It tastes a bit sweet for being so fresh and the hop character blends smoothly with the malts. A recipe I will brew again next summer. My friend was drinking a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and when I offered her this, she said my beer was better. Cool. Actually, I had good comments all around on this one. I've been tutoring a few people on how to brew and last night when we tapped this one, I had to politely ask that they drink store beer because we could have finished off the whole keg in one night. (wouldn't be the first time, heh heh). I strongly recommend this recipe.
